These terms govern your use of MakersDrop — as a visitor, as a customer buying software, and as a developer selling it.

MakersDrop is a curated marketplace for independent macOS software, operated by MVP Foundry SLU, a company registered in Andorra with its registered office at Pleta de Soldeu, Edifici 11, 2N, 2A, AD100 Soldeu, Andorra. In these terms, “MakersDrop”, “we” and “us” mean MVP Foundry SLU. “You” means the person using the site, whether you are browsing, buying, or selling.
By using MakersDrop you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
MakersDrop is a marketplace. Developers list their macOS applications; customers buy them. Every app is reviewed by us and must be notarized by Apple before it can be published, but the software itself is built and owned by the developer who lists it, not by us. When you buy an app, you are licensed to use software written by that developer, on the terms they set.
We describe apps as accurately as we can, and we test what we publish. We do not warrant that any app will be free of defects or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not the author of the software we sell.
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure, and for everything done through your account. One account covers both buying and selling. We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud, abuse, or to break these terms.
All prices are shown in US dollars and are one-time purchases unless the listing says otherwise. Tax is calculated at payment based on your location.
Payments are processed by our payment provider, who acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. That means the provider — not MVP Foundry SLU — is the seller for the purposes of the transaction, appears on your card statement, and is responsible for collecting and remitting VAT and sales tax. Their buyer terms apply to the payment alongside these terms. We never see or store your full card details.
After payment you get an immediate download of the app, and, where the developer distributes their software that way, a licence key. Your purchase also gives you access to your library on MakersDrop, from which you can re-download the app and get the updates the developer publishes, for as long as your purchase remains valid and the app remains listed.
The developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use their app. Licence keys are issued to you and to you alone: do not share, publish, or resell them. Your licence is granted on the condition that your payment is made and kept. If a payment is refunded, reversed, or charged back, the licence terminates automatically — at which point you must stop using the app and delete your copies of it, and we withdraw your access to downloads, updates, and your key. Continued use after a refund is unlicensed use.
Every purchase carries a 14-day refund, described in full in our Refund Policy.
If you list an app on MakersDrop, this section applies to you in addition to everything above.
You keep all ownership of your software. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, distribute, and promote it on the marketplace — including in collections, bundles, editorial features, and our newsletter — for as long as it is listed. You may remove a listing at any time; we will stop selling it, and customers who have already bought it keep their licence and their access to the version they paid for.
You promise that you own or have the rights to everything you upload, that your app is notarized by Apple, and that it does not contain malware, spyware, or undisclosed data collection. You promise that your listing describes the app honestly. If your app collects personal data from customers, you are the controller of that data and must handle it lawfully.
We review every app and every version before it goes live, and we can decline to publish, or remove something already published, if it breaks these terms, misleads customers, or puts them at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why.
We collect the money from customers through our payment provider, deduct our commission and the provider's fees, and pay you the remainder monthly. Because a customer can obtain a refund within 14 days of buying, earnings are held until that window has closed before they become payable — a sale refunded before payout is simply not paid out, and a refund issued after payout is deducted from your next one. You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.
Do not use MakersDrop to distribute malware or software that misrepresents what it does; to infringe anyone's intellectual property; to break the law; to interfere with the security or operation of the service, or to attempt to access accounts, files, or data that are not yours; or to scrape, resell, or redistribute what you buy here. We may suspend access for any of these.
MakersDrop is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for lost data. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for fraud, and the statutory rights you have as a consumer, which sit alongside these terms and are not replaced by them.
We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change is material we will say so on this page and update the date at the top; continuing to use MakersDrop after that means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of MVP Foundry SLU's home jurisdiction, Andorra, and the courts of Andorra have jurisdiction over disputes — except where the law of your country of residence gives you, as a consumer, the right to bring proceedings where you live.
